Cornelius J. Madera III ("Cory") concentrates his practice in criminal defense and certain areas of civil litigation. He represents clients in numerous criminal matters, ranging from OUI's, domestic cases, sexual assault cases such as a rape, and property crimes such as identity fraud. Cory also specializes in Registry of Motor Vehicle matters, including license suspension appeals to the Division of Insurance and hardship license issues.
Cory previously served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, prosecuting both adults and juveniles in numerous felony and misdemeanor matters. He served as primary trial prosecutor of all juvenile jury case in the Cape and Islands District from 2004-2005.
Cory has also served as an intern at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Rhode Island District and as a judicial intern for the Honorable Justice Charles Spurlock and the Honorable Justice Volterra at Suffolk Superior Court. He further represented clients in life parole hearings in front of the Massachusetts Parole Board as part of Northeastern University School of Law Prisoners' Rights Clinic.
