Approaching any difficult situation with sensitivity can often help individuals avoid making hasty decisions. In some cases, when a person has been charged with a crime, taking a sensitive and logical approach could help ensure that the individual does not feel out of hope or as if there are no options for defending against the allegations. Fortunately, when someone is facing drug charges and other accusations, they do have legal rights and options at their disposal.

One man in Massachusetts will likely be exploring those rights and options after recently being taken into custody. According to reports, authorities executed a search warrant at the man’s residence. Details were not provided on what evidence investigators had to obtain the warrant in the first place. Nonetheless, authorities allegedly uncovered cannabis, a firearm and approximately $194,000 in cash.

The man was taken into custody and is currently facing the following charges:

  • Possession of drugs with intent to distribute
  • Improper storage of a firearm near a minor
  • Possession of a firearm without an FID card
  • Possession of ammunition without an ID card

At the time of the report, the man was still in custody on a $25,040 bail. The proceedings for his case will likely soon move forward, and he may find it in best interests to gain information and assistance for his predicament. Information relating to the drug charges and other allegations brought against him may help him determine how best to address the charges, and utilizing local Massachusetts legal resources may ensure that the information he obtains is reliable and applicable to his case.
