Around 9:15 p.m. on the evening of Tuesday, March 22, police from District C-11 responded to the area of Ashmont Street and Adams Street. The call was regarding a fight among a group of teenage girls. The report states that officers had responded to the scene twice, and the second time, they identified victims who had been beaten severely but also doused with mace and bleach.
Officers were able to identify the individual suspected of perpetrating the attacks. She was a 17-year-old female, and she was charged with aggravated assault after being taken into custody. Several other youths were with the alleged attacker and apparently tried to prevent police from taking the young woman into custody.
